So where does the name for this Genius print come from?
after a courageous abolitionist and author, Equiano is full of bravery
and strength. The bold blend of Dazzle, Grasshopper, Hummingbird and
Mirror come together to build the heroic story of a knight slaying a
dragon. Fierce, daring and fun, this bold print is sure to have your
little one ready to win the battle.
Olaudah Equiano (1745 - 1797)
Bravery. Courage. Strength. Olaudah Equiano embodied all these traits
and more as a kidnapped African prince, forced into slavery. He
survived many years of oppression aboard a slave ship, but through his
relentless hard work and inspiring strength, Equiano endured and
persevered until he finally reclaimed his freedom. He later wrote his
own autobiography, recounting his imprisonment and revealing the horrors
of slavery to the world. His brilliance and strength to speak the truth
soon became a catalyst in passing the Slave Trade Act of 1807.
Equiano's courage to fight for what he believed in - against all odds -
was the inspiration for our Equiano print. We are proud and honored to
welcome this heroic print into the Hall of Genius.
Freetime diapers are "all-in-one" cloth diapers. What does
a diaper is described as "all-in-one," it means that all
pieces of the diaper are sewn together. More specifically, the
insert(s) (the thicker piece(s) of fabric that absorb
liquid/moisture) are sewn to the diaper cover. The bumGenius
Freetime has two inserts that are "semi-attached," meaning
that only one end of each insert is sewn to the diaper cover.
are the benefits of an all-in-one diaper?
two inserts can be folded for customized absorbency (i.e.
you can place more fabric in the place that you need it.) An
all-in-one diaper can also save time. If you are using a pocket
diaper, you have to pull the insert out of the pocket when it is
dirty, and then stuff it back into the pocket after it has been
cleaned. An all-in-one diaper allows you to skip both of those
steps because there is no separate insert. Just put the diaper on the
baby, throw it in the wash, use the diaper again, etc.
cloth diapers are "one-size," and fit most babies who weigh
between 8 and 35 pounds. Just adjust the snaps to change the size of
sizing accommodates larger babies, while durable snap closures help
keep diapers on older babies.
rows of snaps ensure a snug, trim fit.
